The Malaysia Toray Science Foundation (MTSF) successfully organised it’s “2025 MTSF Grant Research Symposium” at Rimba Ilmu, Institute of Biological Sciences, Faculty of Science, Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur on 12 November 2025.
The annual symposium provides a good platform for past MTSF Science & Technology Research Grant (STRG) recipients to present their final research reports and findings. Attended by approximately 80 participants from local universities and institutions, the event serves as an excellent avenue for researchers to share their experiences, findings and knowledge with the Malaysian scientific community.
The symposium commenced with presentations by the two 2025 MTSF Science & Technology Award (STA) winners, namely Professor Ir. Dr. Chong Wen Tong, FASc from Universiti Malaya and Professor Ts. Dr. Lim Eng Hock, CEng, FASc, FAAET from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman.
Presided by distinguished panellists, a total of nine MTSF STRG recipients later presented their research outcomes and findings. Both the presenters and attendees engaged in fruitful knowledge exchange and meaningful discussions, making the event interesting and meaningful.
